Jessica Aragon

d. January 22, 2021

Jessica Jacinta Aragon took her first breath of life on May 29, 1993.  On January 22, 2021 Jessica took her last breath and began her Eternal Life in Heaven.   Her deep love for God and His son Jesus helped her fulfill her purpose here on Earth.  Family members who departed and welcomed Jessica with loving arms to her heavenly home include: grandfathers, Martin Aragon and Jose Guadalupe Vigil; uncles, Tony Aragon and Brian Vigil; cousin, Alyssia Martinez; God-sister, Tabitha Vigil, and her two beloved babies who lived in her womb and blessed Jessica’s soul but did not survive to feel her loving embrace.

Jessica graduated from Española Valley High School in 2011.  After high school she had various jobs, but those she enjoyed most was working at Buffalo Thunder where she met some great friends.  She also worked at Options Home Care and Ambercare as a caregiver.  Giving of her time and talents to others in need fueled her generous spirit.  When Jessica wasn’t lending a helping hand, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, drawing and journaling.  She made sure to handwrite meaningful and heartfelt letters to people she loved.  Jessica was a true and loyal friend.  She was ready and willing at a moment’s notice if she was called upon for support or pure fun.

Jessica’s parents Thomas and Bernadette Aragon lovingly raised her and her sisters, Victoria Gonzalez and Christina Aragon.  She lived her life with great passion.  Her fighting spirit was apparent in everything she did.  Jessica loved deeply and had empathy and compassion for everyone. Jessica loved and adored her Mom and Dad more than life itself.  She always referred to herself as “the Son her Dad never had”.  She enjoyed spending time with him, helping him with his surveying jobs out on the field, jobs at home, and tinkering with the vehicles.  She never hesitated to get her hands dirty, even if she had her pretty polished acrylic nails on.  The love that Jessica had for her “little mama” was unlike no other.  While she was a very independent person, she knew she could go to her Mom for everything and anything.  They spoke or messaged each other daily, sometimes multiple times per day.  Jessica took care great care for her Mom by shopping, doing the laundry and cleaning for her weekly.  Her mom lovingly says that she doesn’t even know where the power button on her vacuum cleaner is because Jess had her spoiled.  Jessica learned the love of the Lord through her parents.  They prayed as a family together and shared scripture with one another. They discussed how scripture could be applied to daily life.  She read her bible and wrote in her journal often.   Jessica yearned to spend Eternity in the arms of our Lord.  She endured life on earth as her sacrifice to her Mom and Dad.

Jessica had a beautiful relationship with her sisters Victoria and Christina.  These girls loved each other deeply.  They shared many fond childhood memories that will last a lifetime.  They encouraged each other to live their best lives.  During times of struggle, they protected and lifted each other up.  She always had their back.  When they experienced successes, they celebrated joyously.

Jessica loved her nephew, Jeremy Gracia and niece, Divinity Gracia with her whole being.  She had such pride in these kids and celebrated their achievements with them.  She taught them lessons they will never forget.  She encouraged them to do good in school and taught them how to be compassionate human beings.  She attended basketball games to watch Divinity cheer and supported Jeremy in his hobbies.  She loved them like her own.

Jessica enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved hanging out with her Grandma Theresa Vigil and Grandma Sarah Aragon.  She spent countless hours with her cousins, Robyn, Luiza, Estevan, Brandon, Mario, Sarah, Savannah, Vicente, Brandon and Nathan.  They were cousins raised like siblings.  She made it a point to reach out to everyone to let him or her know she was thinking and praying for them.

Jessica’s empathetic and compassionate soul has left a permanent marked etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by all who loved her.  She is survived by her parents, Bernadette and Thomas Aragon; sisters, Victoria Gonzalez (Ben Sanchez) and Christina Aragon (Ray Griego); nephew, Jeremy Gracia; niece, Divinity Gracia; grandmothers, Sara Aragon and Theresa Vigil; aunts and uncles, Caroline and Steve Quezeda, Linda and Mike Garcia, Carmella Aragon and Randy Trujillo, Cathy and Victor Martinez; cousins, Nathan Quezada, Brandon Carter, Sarah & Ben Maynes, Savanah Garcia, Vicente Garcia, Robyn Vigil, Luiza Vigil (Joshua), Noah Vigil, Brandon Trujillo (Brittany), Estevan Martinez (Katherine) and Mario Martinez (Isis) will truly miss her.  She is also survived by her Godparents, Bernadette Gallegos and Dennis Vigil, Justine Vigil, Curtis Aguino and numerous friends, too many to name.
