Jesse Madrid

d. June 21, 2021

Jesse Madrid a resident of Chama, New Mexico passed away on June 21st, 2021. Jesse was born on October 13th 1960 to Jose and Refugio Madrid. Jesse was the other half of identical twins with his best friend Jerry. Jesse grew up in Chama New Mexico amongst 15 other brothers and sisters. In High School Jesse played the drums with the High School Band. Jesse graduated from Escalante High School in 1978 then attended Southern Arizona Bible School where he met his wife Virginia then they were married in 1983. They soon moved to Michigan where they had two children Valerie and Benjamin.
Jesse enjoyed fishing, camping, playing softball and basketball, he had a mean jump-shot. Jesse was an avid Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankee fan, I think he was born liking these teams.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents; Jose and Refugio, Brothers; Sisto, Emilo and Jerry, Sisters; Margaret, Mary and Ermelinda.
Jesse is survived by his Ex-wife Virginia (Bay City, Michigan), daughter Valerie (Saginaw, Michigan), son Benjamin and wife LaShawn, Granddaughter Sophia (Bay City, Michigan) brothers and sisters; Bernie, Salomon, Julia and Tommy Garcia, Joe and Rosemary Madrid (From Chama, NM), Margaret and Tommy Valdez (Cortez, CO), Louis and Linda Madrid (Taos, NM), Johnny and Naomi Madrid (Price, UT), Baltazar Madrid, David Madrid (Salt Lake City, UT) and Rosario Madrid (Chama), and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Jesse is reunited with his Mom, Dad and best friend Jerry (heaven may never be the same).
Jesse was a believer in Jesus Christ for that reason we have the hope that this isn’t good-bye but see you later.
In Jesse’s famous words, “ I gotta go, someone is calling me”. This time it was our Lord Jesus Christ.
