Jesse Edward Martinez

Jesse E. Martinez, age 54, a resident of Chimayo, NM, slipped into the arms of our loving heavenly Father on June 30, 2024. Jesse was married for 36 years to the love of his life Elena Martinez. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was filled with life, always willing to help anyone in need. He adored his grandchildren so much, Jesse was a journeymen carpenter out of Local Union 1353, he also enjoyed riding his Harley and working on cars with his boys. Most of all he loved spending his time with his boys and grandchildren.

Many cousins, nephews, nieces, and closes friends (from Chimayo, Albuquerque and Denver) loved him very much and will cherish all the wonderful memories he will be dearly missed.

A Public Viewing will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 5:30 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 am at Victory Faith in Espanola, NM, with burial to follow at La Puebla Catholic Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers: Tomas “DeeDee” Ramirez, Edward Martinez and Jared Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Javon Martinez, Antonio and Andres Ramirez.
