Jerome Sanchez

Jerome Sixto Sanchez, Jr, 41, of Velarde went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 11, 2022. Jerome was born August 14, 1980, to Jerome and Valerie Sanchez. Jerome is survived by the Love of his life, his son Elijah Sanchez of Nambe, the mother of his son Savannah Salazar, parents Jerome and Valerie Sanchez, Sister Virginia Sanchez (Sergio Herrera), aunts Debbie (Marty) Gonzalez, Eileen Edmonds, Betty Atencio, Felicia (Rick), Chriszalda Cata, Lorna Morante, Elvia Martinez, Yvette (Richard) Atencio, Michelle (Tommy) Silvia, Rose Gonzales, Cheryl, Dolores, Mary Sanchez and Loraine Martinez. Uncles Randy and Darren Martinez and Joe (Eloida) Martinez.

Jerome is preceded in death by paternal Grandparents Antonio (Jerry) and Lydia Sanchez and Maternial Grandparents Ernest and Gloria Clark and Simion and Eva Cata. Uncles John and Val Martinez, Tony, Peter, Lawrence Sanchez and Bernie Gonzales. Cousins Evangeline Gonzales and Alichia Sanchez.

Jerome was an avid outdoorsman and was a guide for hunters. His passion in life was being out in the mountains any chance he got. Jerome was a very sick person who wouldn’t let his disabilities hold him back. With the help of his family and friends he continued doing what he loved to do. His last hunt was a successful one and he brought and antelope home. Wheelchair or no wheelchair he went hunting, his son went with him on his Hunts, teaching all he knew to him. Jerome was hard working and provided well for his son. He made sure his son was happy and well taken care of. Elijah was the love of his life

Pall bears will be Sergio Herrera, Wesley Martinez, Authur Valencia, Nick Maestas, Peter Sanchez, Ernest Bristo, Benito Gallegos and Jerry Martinez Honorary pallbearers is his son Elijah Sanchez.

Services will take place on Wednesday March 30, at 11:00 am at the San Juan de Bautista Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Velarde Cemetery,
