Jeremy Martinez "Bimb"

Jeremy J. Martinez “Bimb'' 36, a resident of Española was born March 1, 1984, in

Española, NM. He passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020. He was preceded in

death by his father Nelson “Tinko'' Martinez Jr., grandmothers Mercy Martinez, Frances Aranda, and  grandfather Nelson Martinez Sr. Bimb was a free spirit who enjoyed joking around and loved to make

people laugh. He was a storyteller! He loved talking about the good times when he was

a young boy. He could keep you captivated for hours with his expressions and gestures

on just one of his stories. Bimb was a huge boxing historian, you could ask him about

fights that happened even before he was born and he could tell you who won, who lost,

what title they held, and for how many years. He coached youth boxing for multiple

years in Española with his cousin Monica, he held those memories close to his heart.

Bimb was a proud New Mexican, he loved his hometown of Española. Jeremy had a

huge heart, when he loved, he loved with everything. He was kind and giving, he would

give you the shirt off his back. He loved kids, he would sit and play with them for hours.

But most of all he loved his family and close friends. Bimmy will be greatly missed by all

who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Martinez; girlfriend,

Jessica Aragon; sister, Billie Jo Martinez (Samuel); nieces, Madison Lynne Martinez,

and Mikiaela Guillen. Grandfather Victor Aranda; sister, Monica Lovato (Mel); and

brothers, John Guillen (Karlah), and Javier Diaz (Lorena); He is also survived by his

Aunts, Marilyn Martinez-Ortiz (Jerry); and Carolyn Guillen. Uncles, Frank Guillen

(Nancy); Henry “Rick” Guillen (Roberta); and Marvin Martinez (Edwina). A special

friend, Veronica “Vero” Salazar. Jeremy had numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and

friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lynette Guillen, Dillon Montoya,

Enrique Guillen, Mat Romero, Cielo Chacon, Derrick Voight, Isaiah Diaz, Ava Diaz,

Jestiny, Devin, & Lucas Martinez, Elikai Corona Martinez, and Symirah & Esteban Martinez.
