It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and father, Jason Rodriguez, a resident of Rio Lucio, New Mexico. Jason was called home on December 24, 2024, at the age of 41. He was born on October 16, 1983, to Manuel and Dolora Rodriguez.
Jason is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Felisandro and Juanita Rodriguez, Adulto and Cleofas Romero, Apolonio and Agripanita Sanchez, and Carlos and Corina Sanchez; his grandparents Daniel “Boone” Rodriguez, and Fileberto and Connie Sanchez; his beloved uncle Rocky Sandoval; his great aunt Carolina Rodriguez; and his dear cousin Victor Atencio.
He is survived by his parents Manuel and Dolora Rodriguez; his sisters Valerie (Gerald) and Danielle; his children, son Diego and daughters Jadyn and Jenica; his goddaughter Shontae; his nephew Billy Joe and niece Rochelle; his grandmother Angelica; his uncles Fred (Pauline), Harold “Bobo”, Anthony (Carmella), Louis (Matilda), and Patrick (Libby); his aunts Jeannette (Henry), Christine (Andrew), and Catherine (Tomas); as well as many other close family members and friends who loved him deeply. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
A Rosary will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco, NM, with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at the Rio Lucio Cemetery in Rio Lucio, NM.
Serving as pallbearers are Billy Joe Rodarte, Anthony Rodriguez, Gerald Montoya, David Sandoval, Jonathon Fernandez, Guillermo Atencio, Julian Lopez, and Michael Romero. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Father Clarence Maes for his comfort and for coming to anoint Jason.
