Jan Talamante

Jan Talamante, 36, a lifelong resident of Chili, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 27, 2023. Born on January 12, 1987.

Jan is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Mae Talamante of Albuquerque, NM; partner, Robert “Bobo” Vigil of Hernandez, NM; maternal grandparents, Saiz and Emerlinda Trujillo of Cordova, NM; and paternal grandparents, Silviano and Maria Talamante of Chili, NM.

Jan is survived by her son, Nathaniel Gonzalez Talamante of Chili, NM; parents, Salomon and Corine Talamante of Chili, NM; sisters, Noel Sandoval and husband Isaac of Albuquerque, NM, and brother Silvy Talamante and wife Pamela of Chili, NM; nieces and nephews Silvy Jr., Adrianna, Aiden, Andres Tristen, Mercedes, Uriah, Cruz and Ezra of Espanola and Albuquerque, NM; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and other dear friends and relatives.

Jan, a remarkable mother, daughter, sister and friend whose heart of gold illuminated the lives of everyone she touched. Jan's unwavering selflessness made her not only a wonderful friend but the most genuine and caring soul one could ever meet. She found pure joy in the outdoors, cherished her lazy afternoons with her much-loved naps, and above all loved spending time with her family and son. Having Nathaniel in her life was the greatest gift, adding immeasurable joy and love to her world. Jan's legacy of kindness and warmth will forever resonate in our hearts. May she find eternal peace surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

Public Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 5:30 pm in the Chapel Of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, NM, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, burial to follow at the Chili Cemetery.

Serving the Family as pallbearers; Silvy, Tristen, Leonard, Silvy Jr., Adrianna and Mercedes; honorary pallbearers; Nathaniel, Aiden, Andres, Cruz, Ezra, Uriah, and Isaac. The family would like to thank everyone who reached out at this difficult time.
