James Patton

James Jeffery Patton , age 65, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Sunday January 17, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Patton; his maternal grandparents, Elias and Aurelia Vigil of Ranchitos; his paternal grandparents, Robert E. and Eva Patton of Sherman, TX.  Jeff is survived by his mother, Florence E. Patton of Espanola; brother, Robert L. Patton of Espanola; sisters, Dianna L. Vigil (Timothy) of Rio Rancho and Janice D. Valdez (Phillip) of Espanola.  Jeff had a special bond with his nephews and nieces, Robert E. Patton, Shaylee Patton, Amy Walton (Brian), Samantha Vigil (Samantha), Mariah Acuna (Daniel) and Francisco Valdez.  He is also survived by his Godparents, Ismael and Cecilia Vigil and an aunt and uncle, Susan and Ray Ortiz and many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.  He had a big heart and will be missed by many.  May he rest in peace.

A rosary will be recited on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Espanola with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.  Internment will take place at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Espanola.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the church is limiting attendance to 70 guests.  Please, let these 70 people be the family and/or those closest to the person who died.  Masks will be mandatory as well as keeping a safe distance of 6 feet away from each person not living with you.
