James J. Martinez “Verde”

James Jerry Martinez "Verde" from Chimayo, NM born January 21, 1958 in Harbor City, California to Belarmino and Carmen Martinez, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2023 of natural causes surrouned by his loving family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Belarmino and Carmen Martinez, brother Randy Martinez, sister Rosie Gallegos, nephews Fabian Mendez and Jerome DeAguero, and nieces Clarissa Ramirez and Lori Gallegos. 

He is survived by his daughters, Monica White(Jordan), and Pamela Romero(Ray), grandchildren Frankie, Isaac, Neeomiah, Abigail and MatthewRay, and great grandchild Max, sisters Annette Martinez (Rick), Martha Trujillo (Antonio), and Geraldine Martinez, brothers, Michael Martinez (Nellie), and Noel Martinez (Rose), Goddaughter Erica Martinez, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. 

James was caring and always willing to help anyone in need. He was a very outgoing person making friends everywhere he went. His ability to spark up a conversation with anyone was something truly special. The love he and his siblings shared was like no other, he would do anything for them. He is truly going to be missed by many. 

Services will be held at Victory Faith in Espanola, NM on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm.  Private burial will be held at a later date.
