Ida Trujillo, a lifelong resident of Cordova, NM, passed away on April 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 14, 1932, in Cordova, NM.

Ida was a proud graduate of McCurdy School and went on to marry Elizardo Trujillo. She was a dedicated head start teacher who remembered all her students. She also enjoyed being outdoors tending to her flowers, trees and the garden. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elizardo Trujillo and son Eric Trujillo; grandson Anthony Vigil;  granddaughter Melinda Trujillo; parents Sofia and Dionicio Cordova; in-laws Abel and Lucrecia Trujillo; grandparents Encarnasion and Agapita Aragon; brother and sister-in-laws Levi and Gregorita Trujillo, Maclovio and Amada Ortiz, sister-in-law Eloida Sargent, brother-in-law Rudolfo Trujillo.

She is survived by her daughters Marie (Jerry) Trujillo and Pita (Andrew) Vigil; grandchildren Janelle (Estevan) Vigil, Sofia (Jose) Martinez, Mandy (Leonard) Sandoval, Marvin (Caroline) Trujillo, Nadine Trujillo, Jerome Trujillo, Fabian (Kimberly) Trujillo, Alexia Ortiz who was like a granddaughter to her, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister in Law Eremita Trujillo and brother-in-law Charles Sargent and many nieces and nephews; special great grandchildren AdaLynn Vigil and Zedekiah Arellano.

A Memorial Service will be held at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM, at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.  Burial to follow at the Cordova Presbyterian Cemetery.
