Henry Trujillo (Chucky)

HENRY C. TRUJILLO (CHUCKY), 59, of Ojo Caliente passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Henry was born in Fairview to Juvencio and Maximiana Trujillo of Ojo Caliente on September 20, 1959. He had a passion for carpentry and loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. He was a hardworking man and spent years with Hope Lumber as a yardman. Henry loved spending time with his grandkids and spoiling them with “sweets.” He also enjoyed spending time with his sisters, in Pecos with Elaine in Albuquerque with Julia and Ojo Caliente with Mary; and other family members. Henry was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Pedro and Eloisa Baca of Ojo Caliente; paternal grandparents, Juvencio and Filomena Trujillo of Coyote; parents, Juvencio (Julian) and Maximiana (Maxine Baca) Trujillo of Ojo Caliente; step-mother, Criselda Valdez-Trujillo of Albuquerque; brother, William (Billy) Trujillo of Albuquerque; step-brother, Paul Valdez of Albuquerque, and nephew, Ruben Trujillo of Ojo Caliente. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his son, Henry Trujillo Jr. and wife Tiffany; sisters, Julia Trujillo, Elaine Trujillo and husband Carlos Gonzalez, and Mary and Joe Trujillo; step-brother, Phillip Valdez and wife Shelly; step-sister, Marlene Valdez; grandchildren, Riana, Alena and Celestino Trujillo; nephews and nieces, Esperanza and Anjel, Carlos and  Miranda, Adrian and Dominique, William Jr., Lorenzo, Jonathan, Sammy and Naomi and other great nephews and nieces; God-daughter, Kayla Lopez; God-parents, Max and Linda Maestas of Española and Lupe Baca of Ojo Caliente; and other uncles, aunts  and cousins. Public visitation will begin on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Burial to follow at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery. Urn will be carried by, Henry Jr., Celestino, Anjel, and Kayla. The family of Henry C. Trujillo (Chucky) has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
