HELEN C. TALACHE, 78, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away following a lengthy illness on Monday, March 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, A. Talache; son, Mark Talache; parents, Jose and Olivama Lopez; brothers, Jose Lopez Jr., Vivian Lopez, Tomas Lopez, Benny Lopez, sister, Kathy Romero; in-laws, Amarante and Crucita Talachy, brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Gary Talachy; Stella Tanner, Leslie Tannar. Helen was a grandmother of 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She loved the Casino, before husbands passing’s they both traveled together. She loved watching movies and entertaining lives to the point where her family could recite the movie from beginning to end. Helen enjoyed remolding her house. Helen is survived by her daughters, Angela Talache Tapia and Leslie Martinez both of Ohkay Owingeh; siblings, Lena and Daniel Lucero of Roy Utah, Maxine Rangel of California, Vicente Lopez of Chamita, NM, Joe E. and Thelma Talache of Pojoaque, Mary Gutierrez of Pojoaque, Katie Lopez of Chamita and Lydia Lopez of Los Luceros and numerous nieces, nephews family and loved ones. A wake service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Helen’s home in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers, Eppie Tapia Jr., Gino Tapia, Sabastian Tapia, Christian Tapia, Hunter Gutierrez, Christopher Tapia, Marco Talache, Jessie Archuleta, and Lawrence Sisneros, honorary pallbearers will be Carl Romero Jr., Alexandra Martinez, Vicente Lopez and Michael J.
