Harold Sanchez

HAROLD J. SANCHEZ, 67, a resident of Lyden, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melaquias and Cresencia Sanchez; brother, Melaquias Sanchez, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Flemming, Lena Salazar and Edulia Romero; Nephews, Roy Romero, Ricky Salazar and Michael Salazar. Harold was a hardworking man all his life. He was kind to everyone and quick with a joke, he loved his children as well as his grandchildren. He loved being up in the mountains tending to his cows and riding his horses. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his daughter, Bernadine Gonzales of Albuquerque; son, Harold E. Sanchez and wife Janae of Velarde; brother, Jose Macedonio Sanchez and wife Teresa of Los Lunas; loving partner of 26 years, Rosemary Rolon of Ranchitos; step-children, Anthony Rolon of Santa Fe and Jose Rolon of El Llano; grandchildren, Michael Baca and Matthew Gonzales of Albuquerque, Harold Sanchez, Jr. of Velarde and Julian Sanchez; step-grandchildren, Jalyssa, Jaleena and Jose Rolon, Jr. all of El Llano, Joseph and Jordan Ratliff both of Velarde and Analaya Peña of Velarde and numerous other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde, with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Kenny Salazar, Manuel Trujillo, Harold Sanchez III, Lloyd Romero, Charlie Gasca, Tomas Sanchez, James Sanchez and Jose Rolon, honorary pallbearers Tony Rolon, Michael Baca, Matthew Gonzales, Lorenzo Sanchez, Diego Sanchez, Demetrio Sanchez, Chris Valdez and Joey Valdez.The family of Harold J. Sanchez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
