Guadalupita (Lupita) Marie Rodarte, 49, a lifelong resident of Peñasco, New Mexico, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2021. Lupita was born on December 3,1971 to Lillian R. Lopez and Frank Rodarte Jr. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Destiny Myriah Valdez, her mother, Lillian R. Lopez, step-father, Ross Cordova, father, Frank Rodarte Jr., and her niece, Nicole Lopez. She is survived by her sons Dylan Valdez (Starr), Dakota Valdez (Nisrene); and her grandsons Jeremiah White (JJ) and Niamiah Valdez; sisters, Vivian R. Martinez (Kenneth), Anna M. Martinez (Fabian), and Michelle Rodarte; brothers Harold C. Lopez (Christine), Johnny L. Lopez, Roy E. Lopez (Natalie), Joe David Rodarte (Alicia) and Frank Rodarte. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Lupita was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was full of compassion, humor, grace and beauty. She cared more for others than for herself and brought joy, kindness and love everywhere she went. She touched so many lives and created unforgettable memories with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Lupita loved to draw and listen to music. She was quite the entertainer, always joking around and having a great time. Her laughter was her trademark.

We would like to thank the EMT’s, doctors and nurses at Holy Cross Hospital and Christus St. Vincent Regional Center for the great care Lupita received before she gained her angel wings. A special thank you to her niece, Claudette Romero, who persevered to fulfill Lupita’s wishes and providing her with the best postmortem care. We would also like to thank Nancy Archuleta, Lupita’s best friend, for her swift action acquiring medical care for Lupita giving the family the opportunity to say their final goodbyes.
