Gloria Gurule

Gloria Trujillo Gurule, 86, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Gloria was born in Vallecitos, New Mexico and was a resident of Santa Cruz for a majority of her life before moving to Albuquerque. She was married to Reynaldo Trujillo Sr. and in result had nine children. She was a devoted mother to her nine children, as well a very loving grandmother, great-grandmother and recently a great-great grandmother. Her family will treasure the memories of her and she will be greatly missed. Gloria Trujillo was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Pedro Gurule and Maria Ignacia Herrera; children, Rogelio Trujillo, Jabes Trujillo, Estevan Trujillo and Gloria (Rosa) Trujillo; as well as her two sisters, Erciela Rael and Felecita Madrid.  She is survived by her children, Reynaldo Trujillo Jr. and wife Becky, Deborah Burciaga and husband Julio, Miguel Trujillo, Jose Pedro Trujillo and Maria Trujillo, 26 grandchildren, 46 great-great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, as well as her siblings Mary Maestas and Elmo Gurule. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory will a Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. She will be carried to her final resting place by her loving family to Mountain View Cemetery in Vallecitos. The family of Gloria Trujillo Gurule has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
