GILBERT M. MONTOYA, 58, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Gilbert was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Montoya; paternal grandparents, Manuel and Ramoncita Montoya, maternal grandparents, Apolonio and Justa Rodriguez. Gilbert is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy Montoya of Santa Fe; loving step-daughter, Jade of Santa Fe; parents, Johnny and Polly Montoya of La Mesilla; sister, Anna Marie Garcia of La Mesilla, brother, Stephen Montoya and wife Sandra of Albuquerque; and loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Gilbert appreciated all art forms. In lieu of flowers please send all donations in Gilbert’s name to the Conjunto Children’s Art Exhibit, LCCS, 404 Hunter St. Espanola, NM 87532. The family of Gilbert M. Montoya has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. Private family services will be held.
