Gilbert DeAguero Sunrise January 31, 1961, Sunset June 22, 2026,

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gilbert DeAguero, who left this world on June 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

 Born on January 31, 1961, Gilbert was a beacon of laughter, generosity, kindness, and deeply cherished by all who knew him. Gilbert devoted himself wholeheartedly to his family. As a loving husband of 46-years to his wife Ada; father to Randall and Keyana; proud grandpa to Xander, Ellyana and Mia, he cherished every moment spent with them. Gilbert’s heart always held a special place for his DeAguero and Maestas brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. His warmth and laughter created an atmosphere of fun that will forever resonate within our hearts. Whether offering a helping hand or a listening ear, Gilbert poured love into every relationship, demonstrating the true meaning of family and friendship. He lived a life rich with experiences, each filled with joy and adventure. Gilbert embraced every opportunity with optimism and grace, reminding us all to find joy in the simplest of moments. His legacy will carry on through the memories we hold dear and the love he bestowed upon us. Rest peacefully in Paradise dear Gilbert. You will be profoundly missed, and your spirit will forever live on in our hearts and in the stories we share. 

We invite family and friends to gather in “A Celebration of Gilbert’s Life” on Thursday, June 4th at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 1:00 with the service beginning at 1:30.
