Geraldine Theresa Martinez, her journey with our Lord began January 26, 2022, with her family around her.

She was born March 9, 1969, to Clarence and Irene Martinez. She was a vibrant woman and loved life to the fullest. She was very well-known by her smile and outgoing personality. She worked as a Security Guard for the Espanola Public Schools for many years.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Clarence Sr. Martinez, sister, Mildred, brothers, Jose Eugenio, and Daniel. Maternal Grandparents, Jose, and Rosa Archuleta; Paternal Grandparents, Jose and Rosa Martinez; brother-in-law, Pablo Valdez Jr., nephew, Dominic Herrera, Godparents, Frank and Louisa Martinez; God-brother, Donald Martinez; plus, many other relatives.

She is survived by children Latisha (Thomas) and Justin Martinez (Cheyenne), grandson Ethan Martinez, sisters, Rosie Valdez; Tammie Lambert (Patrick); brothers, Clarence, Jr. (Lou Ann); Richard (Marlene), and Raymond Martinez, and brother-in-law Walter Herrera. Companion Marvin Romero.

Nieces and nephews; Michael (Melissa), Nadine, Matias (Markisha); Jonathan, and David (Tara) Martinez, Shawn Herrera, Shayana Herrera (Darrom), Miranda and Gabriel Quintana, David Valdez (Erica), Jennifer Duran (Cory) and Johnny Valdez.

Great-nieces and nephews:  Miquella, Jalina, Justin, Lugarda, Delylah, Adonis, Alianna Gallegos, Zuri Vasquez, Kayleena and Jordyn Valdez.

Aunts and Uncles:  Leo and Vicenta Martinez; Martha Archuleta, and Martha Sanchez-Archuleta.

God-sisters: Luana (Donald) Martinez; Elaine Martinez and Anna Marie Pina

A Public Visitation will begin on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of De Vargas Funeral Home and Crematory with a rosary to follow at 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday February 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.  at Santa Cruz de la Canada,  burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
