Gerald Lopez

d. October 27, 2015

Gerald ‘CJ’ Lopez, 26, a resident of Rio Rancho left this world unexpectedly and entered into Heaven on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Mary & Antonio Perez, Paternal Grandmother Romie Lopez, Grandfather Jerry R. Valdez, Great Grandparents Josie Ortega, Beatrice Manzanares, Bernie & Juan Baca and Susie & Octaviano Valdez. A graduate of Rio Rancho High School, Gerald served in the United States Air Force for 6 years. Gerald was stationed at Ramstein and Cannon Air Base’s during his career in logistics. This service paled in comparison to the biggest role of his life; father to Anastasia, Jeremiah, and Isabella. His children were the love and passion of his life and nothing mattered more to him than the relationship he had with his beautiful children. He was a “momma’s boy” and often challenged his little brother on who Mom loved most. Truth be told his mother had a never ending, unconditional love for both of her boys. Gerald was loved and will be missed greatly by all that knew him.  Gerald is survived by his beautiful children Anastasia, Jeremiah and Isabella Lopez, his beloved mother Teresa Valdez and Fathers Gerald Lopez & Jerry Valdez.  His “little” brother and fellow “momma’s boy” Jordan Valdez, sisters Alexis and Dymond Lopez, grandparents Gerold ‘Jerry’ Lopez and Lucy Manzanares, Luis & Eva Jaimes, the mother of his children Michelle Harper, and friend & companion Danielle Lujan, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends who loved him dearly. All of his aunties were special in his life and he loved them with all of his heart.  Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at The Door Christian Center 52 Unser Blvd, Rio Rancho 87124. Funeral will be held on Monday November 2, 2015 at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors.
