George Alvaro Fernandez

George Alvaro Fernandez – born to Manuelita and Rodolfo Otiveros on December 29, 1932. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Manuelita and Rodolfo Ontiveros; infant son, George Alvaro Fernandez; sisters: Emma Chavez and Socorro Ontiveros; brothers: Alejandro, Antonio and Gilberto. He is survived by his sons: Larry Fernandez, Rudy and wife Michelle Fernandez; grandchildren: Brigette and daughter Cecelia, Ivan, Mia and Adrian Fernandez; mother of his children, Mary Martinez; brothers: Alfonso and wife Maria Ontiveros, Rodolfo and wife Carmela Ontiveros and Jose Luis Ontiveros; sister, Alicia Rivera; former in-laws: Flaviano and Celia Herrera, Teofilo and Ruperta Lopez, Emiterio and Amelia Vigil, Merejildo and Elma Ortega, Ben and Castellita Valdez; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, David Herrera, Bobby Vigil, Gilbert Valdez, Ricky Ortega, John Villareal and Orlando Lopez. The family of George Alvaro Fernandez has entrusted the care of their beloved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
