Gary, 67 of Alcalde passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family by his side on March 19, 2026. He was a beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and God Father.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Eliberto & Anita Archuleta. Father & Mother-in-Law Frank & Flores Chavez. Brother-in-Laws Donald Chavez and Ernest Lopez. Grandparents Felix Archuleta and Anita Trejo, Adelito & Samuelita Pacheco.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Eppie Archuleta. His pride and joy daughters Angelique (Randy) Rodriguez, children {Dominique, Destiny, Derrick}; Amanda(Andrew) Bustos, children {Aiden, Madison}; Jessica(Louie) Baca, children {Jayden, Deshawn, Alexis}.
His favorite Brother & Sister-in-Law Johnny & Antonette Lovato, children Nicole(Phat) Chung & family; Joshua (Janell) Lovato & family.
Siblings Orlando(Yvonne) Archuleta & family; Dilio (Yvonne) Archuleta & family; Donna Lopez & family; Rayne(Michael) Hindi; Valerie Archuleta & family. His cousin who was like a brother, Randy(Darby) Rendon & family. Gary had many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins who he loved dearly.
Gary was a strong, energetic, loving, spiritual man of God who prayed his daily rosary. He was a Carpenter by trade, retiring from Blue Sky Builders after 23 years. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, taking mountainous drives, gathering wood, riding his 4-wheelers with his grandkids. Gary spent every opportunity making unforgettable memories with his children and grandchildren. Gary will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
Serving the family as pallbearers are: Johnny Lovato, Randy Rendon, Andrew Bustos, Louie Baca, Phat Chung, Joshua Lovato, Dominique Rodriguez, Destiny Rodriguez.
Honorary pallbearers Dominique, Destiny & Derrick Rodriguez, Aiden & Madison Bustos, Jayden, Deshawn, Alexis Baca, Orlando Archuleta, and Adelmo Archuleta.
Rosary will take place on March 25, 2026, at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 pm at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery.
The family of Gary Archuleta has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of the Española Valley 505-747-7477.
