Gabriel Romero

Gabriel M. Romero, a resident of San Ildefonso, passed away August 10, 2021 after a short illness.

Gabriel was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, great uncle and friend. He was kindhearted, generous, loving, had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his father; Amado “Sonny” Romero Jr. Paternal grandparents; Amado “Sonny” Romero Jr., paternal grandparents, Amado Sr. and Eufemia Romero, maternal grandparents, Lorenzo and Reyita Baros, close and dear friend John Floyd Roybal and several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Gabriel is survived by his mother, Ramona Romero of San Ildefonso; sons, Gabriel Amado and Gabriel Daniel of El Rancho; siblings, Chris Romero of Albuquerque, Bernadette Romero of El Rancho, Cassandra Kaua (Mike) of San Ildefonso, companion Erica Lopez of Cuyamungue; nephews, Daniel Romero (Monique), Patrick Romero, Nieces Arianna Lundquist (Grant), Leticia Vigil (Richard), Dominique Gonzales (Garett), Natasha Romero (Tony), great-nieces and nephews Trinity, Dominic Neveah, Nathilia, Kehlani and many other family and friends.

A rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque. Serving the family as pallbearers are Daniel Romero, Chris Romero, Richard Narvaiz, Michael Lopez, Tommy Lucero, and Joe Lucero, honorary pallbearers will be all his nephews and nieces.
