Freddie was born on October 2, 1938, in El Guache, New Mexico. As a young man, he joined the National Guard where he served as a Military Policeman. Shortly after leaving the military, he met and married the love of his life, Nora Gallegos. Over the years, they were blessed with four sons and two daughters.

Freddie worked for many years at the Duke City Lumber Yard as a Security Guard. He also was a firefighter during fire season. Freddie was also very skilled at building rock walls and adobe homes. Freddie was a very friendly, outgoing person who made friends easily everywhere he went. He was a very faithful man who loved the Lord and would often share the gospel with anyone who was willing to listen.

Freddie's hobbies included playing the guitar. He enjoyed reminiscing about his time in the military. One of his favorite stories is when “Fats Domino” entertained the soldiers. Dad was elated as he loved these singers such as Chuck Berry, Hank Williams & Ernest Tub. He loved watching old western movies such as High Noon & Winchester. Dad also enjoyed reading the Bible, planting a vegetable garden, and cooking. He will always be remembered for his love of coffee, fresh tortillas, and green chile. He also made the tastiest, spiciest pot of green chile stew that the family enjoyed eating.

Dad will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and his quiet wisdom. As a father, he was always willing to help his sons and daughters in times of need.

He will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
