Floyd N. Valdez

Floyd N. Valdez, 80, a resident of La Villita, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Viola Valdez; son, Floyd Valdez Jr.; grandson, Christopher Vigil; parents, Cornelio and Cruzita Valdez; sisters, Criselda Trujillo, Edumenia Martinez, Frutosa Dupree, and Mary Garcia, brother, Rosencindo Valdez. Mr. Valdez is survived by his children, Benicio Valdez and wife Ruby, Joann Salazar and husband Erineo, Hilda Vigil and husband Michael, Doris Palomares and husband Jose, Marie Camargo and husband Arturo, Eric Valdez, Raymond Valdez and wife Tracy, Brenda Moreno and husband Miguel, Juanita Valdez; two grandsons raised by him Juanito and Danny Valdez, 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; His siblings Alfonso Valdez and wife Raquel, Alexandra Martinez and husband Joe, Elias Valdez and wife Gloria, Richard Valdez and wife Vangie, Miguel Valdez and wife Teresa, Clyde Valdez and wife Lucille, Ruben Valdez and wife Juanita, David Valdez, and wife Grace, Irene Valdez, and many other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rock Christian Fellowship, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rock Christian Fellowship, with a burial to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde. Serving the family as pallbearers are Juanito, Danny, and James Valdez, Jose Jr., and Andrew Palomares, Reggie Salazar, Christopher Vigil Jr., Arturo Camargo Jr., and Niko Rivera, honorary pallbearers named are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great –great-grandchild. The family of Floyd N. Valdez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n \r\n
