Fidel Age - 90 Cordova Romero

Fidel Romero, 90, a resident of Cordova passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011, following a lengthy illness. He worked for and retired from the Los Alamos Public Schools. His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adela V. Romero; parents, Alfredo and Beneranda Romero; step-mother, Maggie Romero; son-in-law, Gerald Mattson; brother Acorcinio Romero. Mr. Romero is survived by his children: Esther Sandoval and husband Horacio of Truchas, Lillian Mattson of Alcalde, Jesusita Sandoval and husband Joe Silfredo of Alcalde, Fidel Romero Jr. of Alcalde, Antonio Romero and wife Ginnie of Cordova, Susie Marquez and husband Gerald of Alcalde; brothers/sisters: Alfredo Romero Jr. and wife Floraida, Charles Romero and wife Ermelinda, Evilia Romero, Oclides Romero and husband Nabor, Rosinia Romero and husband Isabro, Viola Martinez; special niece, Dora Romero; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous other loved family members. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos at 10:00 a.m. Services will be officiated by his grandsons Pastor Frank and Randy Sandoval. Burial will follow at Cordova Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers his grandchildren: Nelson Romero, Freddie Sandoval, Nicole Mattson, Carla Sandoval, Angela Romero, Jessica Sena, Amanda and Andrea Marquez and Janice Roybal; honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren.
