It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our brother Fernando Edmond Valencia. Edmond passed on December 12th, 2025 in Shawnee, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Heidi Carlson Valencia, his mother, Lorraine Abraham Valencia, and father Fernando E. Valencia.
Edmond leaves behind his children, Gabriella and Aspen Valencia, his siblings, Larry (Geri) Valencia, Sandra (Jerry) Koehler, Valerie (Tammy) Carter, and Annie (Ramon) Valencia, Walter Valencia (), . He has also left a void in the hearts of his nieces, and nephews, Megan (Tyler) Brookhart, Ashleigh (Bill) Carter, Malinda (Matt) Ray, Emily (Bill) Carter, Tony Valencia, Lindsey Valencia, Allison Valencia, Ashton and Samantha Vargas, Jeffrey Koehler, Isabelle and Cash Curtis, along with many extended family members.
Edmond was a father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was born on November 19, 1973 at St. Anthony’s hospital in Lakewood, Colorado and shared a birthday with his sister Valerie. He attended St. Mary’s of Littleton, then later graduated from Mullen High School where he played varsity baseball. After high school, Edmond attended Metropolitan State College and Colorado State University, but became restless to join the real world, he began a career with Quest Corporation in Denver Colorado. Over the years, Edmond explored numerous opportunities in sales, and marketing, and engineering with his father in New Mexico.
When not working or spending time with his family and friends, Edmond enjoyed playing golf, reading, traveling, volunteering with St. Jude, and attending Littleton Rotary Club meetings.
We will miss you baby brother and take comfort that you are surrounded by loved ones,
Services are on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at 10:00 am at San Antonio de Padua in El Rancho, New Mexico.
