Felipe Jose Martinez Sr. "Chopo"

Felipe Jose Martinez Sr. (AKA Chopo), Age 55, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025.

A devoted son, father, uncle, loyal friend, and kindhearted soul, Felipe touched the lives of many with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Born in 1969, Felipe lived a life filled with dedication to his family, hard work, and compassion for others. Whether lending a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or offering quiet support, Felipe’s presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by father, Eraldo Martinez; brothers Leonard, Norbert, and Matthew; and his special little brother, Kirby “Wedo” Martinez.

Felipe is survived by his mother Adela Martinez; wife Gloria; his sons Donovan (Jamie), Phillip, and Julian; his consentida, Mandy. He also leaves behind his siblings Ramona, Eligio, Harold (Berna), Marie (Tony), Diana (Dario), Helen (Kenneth), Della (Al), and his sister Juanita (Sabino); Sister-in-laws Beatrice and Darlene; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and cherished many nieces and nephews.

Felipe will be deeply missed by all

A rosary will take place Friday June 6, 2025, at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilon, NM, at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Canjilon Cemetery.
