Faustino Sisneros, 77, was welcomed by his Heavenly Father in Heaven on June 3rd, 2022. Faustino was born on February 2, 1946, in Las Tablas to Celestino and Candalaria Sisneros where he resided his whole life. He shared his life in Las Tablas with his wife of 51 years, Lucy and his two daughters Lisa and Celeste Sisneros.
Faustino is preceded in death by his parents Celestino and Candalaria Sisneros, daughter Celeste Sisneros, brother Eppie Sisneros and sister Bertha Gasca.
Faustino is survived by his wife Lucy and daughter Lisa, siblings; Karen Martinez, Johnny Sisneros (Ruby), Herman Sisneros, Danny Sisneros, nephew Jimmy Sisneros (Dolores); in-laws; Mercy Jaramillo, Julio Archuleta (Laura), Eugene Archuleta, Michael Archuleta, Brenda DeHerrera, and Joseph Archuleta (Sandra), many nieces and nephews, all who will cherish all the memories and love he shared with us for his time here on earth.
Faustino Sisneros became a man of God when he joined the Penitentes at the age of 18, where he served the Lord and his community through the Cofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús de Nazareno for 57 years. Faustino worked 44 years as a forest ranger. In 2012 he retired from the Forest Service working in the El Rito ranger district of Carson National Forest.
Faustino was a loving family man and had a strong devotion to his faith. He was a selfless person and lived to please the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We are all comforted knowing he is at the right hand of the Lord. He was a great example of a man that followed the Lord and there is no doubt his legacy will follow him into heaven.
Pallbearers: Juan Sisneros, Danny Sisneros, Pablo Ocana, Eujene Archuleta, Michael Archuleta, Joseph Archuleta and Honorary Pallbearers include all his nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will take place at 5:30 pm on June 13th, 2022, at the DeVargas Funeral Home of Espanola. Following the visitation will be a rosary at 6:00 pm. Mass will be held at 11:00 am on June 14th at the San Luis Conzaga Catholic Church in Las Tablas, NM with burial to follow at the Las Tablas Cemetery.
