Evelyn Gee September 3, 1935 - July 7, 2026 of Espanola New Mexico went to be with Jesus Christ on July 7, 2026. Evelyn was born in Center Colorado to Henry Steele and Lucie Steele. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved to fish, spend time outdoors, time in her greenhouse and tending to her yard and roses for the last years of her life. She loved watching old westerns on tv and told stories about riding her horse when she was a child. She was a very strong believer in Jesus Christ and in the final years became more and more aware of that love and commitment.

She was preceded in death by husband Luther Gee, mother Lucie Steele, father Henry Steele, brothers Theodore Steele, James Steele, son Kevin Gee, granddaughter Tammy Hersom.

She is survived by her sisters Helen Perkins (Jim), Ruby Steele, daughter Shelby Hersom, son Kelly Gee and grandchildren Julia Mank, Irmela-Jean Boie, Michael Hersom, Aron Hersom, Korrie Law, Kris Hyatt, Krissty Gee, Kelly Gee II, James Law, Eric Gee, Nadine Lopez, Wally Martinez, Patrick and Steven Chavez along with 30 plus great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Services at Word Baptist Church (913 La Joya Espanola, NM) on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 am.
