Eudalia "Lala" Martinez

Eudalia “Lala” Molly Martinez, 67, of Espanola passed away unexpectedly November 22, 2022.  Lala is preceded in death by her parents Porfidio and Melecia Gonzales of Gallina, NM, husband Dennis “Gerns,” son Gilbert Martinez of El Guique, daughter Kimberly Garcia surviving husband Robert Garcia of La Mesilla, brother Bonefacio Gonzales of Canones, NM and sister-in-law Berna Gonzales of Gallina, NM. 

Lala is survived by her daughter Melissia Martinez Gutierrez and her husband Diego Gutierrez, grandchildren Julian Salazar (Eryanna), Freddie Salazar (Sam), Monique Salazar, Cain Gutierrez, Heavenly Martinez, Isaiah and Jeremy Garcia. Great grandchildren Cash, Amari, Aaliyah, JC and Isabella Salazar. She is also survived by her sisters Martha Gonzales, Doris Martinez, Beatrice Gonzales (partner Carlos) and Joann and husband Kevin Valdez. Her surviving brothers Joe D and Stella Gonzales and Bennie Gonzales (Berna) and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Lala graduated from Coronado High School and received a Certificate in Cosmetology from Northern New Mexico Community College in El Rito, NM.  For the past few months, Lala was working and she enjoyed her place of employment and co-workers.

Serving as Pallbearers are Kevin Valdez, Jason Martinez, Stephen George, Jeremy Garcia, Isaiah Garcia and Robert Garcia.

Services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11:00 am at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will follow at El Guique Cemetery.

Flowers and monetary donations are being accepted at DeVargas Funeral Home.
