EPIMENIA “EPPIE” BERNADITA GALLEGOS
, 76, born March 8, 1943, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 of natural causes. She was a lifetime resident of Los Brazos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Maria Antonia (Gallega) Gallegos; siblings, Jose Luis Gallegos Maria Leonila Gallegos Royston and husband David Lee Royston, Filimon Gallegos; nephews, Robert Gallegos and Jose Benino Royston and Henry A. Gallegos. Eppie is survived by her brother, Henry T. Gallegos and wife Maria Antonia (Toni) Gallegos of Chama NM, Anjelica (Angie) Symonds of Albuquerque; nephew, Henry Anthony (Tonio) whom she raised as her own from 2 months of age and his wife Kathy Gallegos of Canjilon NM; their children, Jose Luis and wife Barbara Gallegos and children of Chama NM, Estevan and wife Kaylee and children of Canjilon NM, Timothy and wife Lindy and sons of Tierra Amarilla and Kathleen Gallegos of Canjilon NM; niece, Josephine (Fina) and husband Billy R. Elbrock and daughter Jennifer Maria Royston of Chama, nephew, Isaac (kike) and wife Melissa Royston of Chama NM; daughter, Tiffany L. Royston and son Luke of Orlando F.L., Aaron I. and wife Tela Royston, and son, Aaron I. Royston Jr. of Misawa, Japan; niece, Jolouisa R. and husband, Randy Gonzales and sons, Brandon Ray and Dakotah Lee of Chama NM, nephew, Thomas Royston and son, Justin and Jeremy Atencio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and people that called her Tia Eppie or Grandma. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. also at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos. Burial to follow at the San Jose Santo Nino Cemetery in Los Ojos with the following serving the family as honorary pallbearers, Billy Elbrock, Randy Gonzales, Thomas Royston, Isaac Royston, Dakotah Gonzales, Brandon Gonzales, Aaron Royston, Aaron Royston Jr., Luke Young, Tristan Celestine, Jose Luis Gallegos, Timothy Gallegos, Estevan Gallegos, Eli Gallegos, Kathleen Gallegos, Lance Peper, Davy Valdez, Billy D. Peper, Jacobo Chavez, Jennifer Royston, Tiffany Royston, and Justin Atencio. The family of Epimenia “Eppie” Bernadita Gallegos has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
