Emilio Fermin Gonzales

Emilio F. Gonzales, age (88), a resident of Medanales, NM, was born on September 1, 1935, and passed away on December 4, 2023, at home surrounded by his loved ones.   

Emilio is preceded in death by his sons, Emilio Jr., Leroy (Smokey) and Gilbert Gonzales, his mother Antonia Madrid, grandfather Severo Archuleta, (brothers) Bengie Madrid, Donald Archuleta, Jose Toby Gonzales, Lee Madrid, and Juanita Gonzales the mother of his children, and other nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Emilio is survived by his grandsons, Neil Gonzales and his children – Emilio, Christopher, Angel, Ashley and Melissa Lopez of Albuquerque, Shaun (Janice) and their children Chris (Nicki) & Natasha of Espanola,  Carlos and his sons -  Carlos Jr. and Armando of Albuquerque and Brandon Gonzales of Espanola,  a granddaughter Jayme (Tyler) Schutte and their children – Tori, Jylen, and Julian of Rio Rancho, a special niece Essie and Tommy Martinez of Medanales who assisted with Emilio’s daily care. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude. Sisters-in-law, Helen Archuleta of Rio Chama and Elizida Gonzales of Albuquerque, as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 on Friday, December 15, 2023, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1:00 pm at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Medanales, NM, burial will take place immediately after the mass at the San Antonio Catholic Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Community Center in Medanales.
