Elvira Age - 99 - Dixon Martinez

Elvira Martinez, 99, a life-long resident of Dixon passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. She was a member of the Presbyterian Faith. Her family was her at most joy and love. Elvira loved pretty flowers and picking piñon when it was available. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan and Maria Lucita Arellano; sister, Beatrice Martinez; a very close friend, like a brother: Ismael Medina. Elvira is survived by her son, Andy Gonzales and wife Mamie of Bernallio, NM; daughters: Helen Sanchez and husband Frank “Columbo” of Embudo, Pauline Martinez of Española, Alice Fresquez and husband Joe of Albuquerque; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Public visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Presbyterian Church in Dixon with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. burial will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery in Dixon. The following will be serving as pallbearers: Juanito Martinez, Benjamin Martinez, Bubba Fresquez, Eli Rivera, Matthew Fresquez and Freddie Martinez.
