Elmer K. Age - 61 Nambe Pueblo Cruz

Elmer K. Cruz, 61, a resident of Nambe Pueblo, N.M. passed away on August 2, 2011. He was a Vietnam War Veteran having served in the First Infantry 101st Airborne Division. Elmer was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Celestino Cata; parents, Pasqual and Katherine Cruz; nephew, Nathan Daniel Cruz. He is survived by his brothers: Johnny A. Cruz and wife JoAnn of Española and Robert Cruz of Santa Fe; sister, Susie Cruz of Nambe/Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo; nephews: Johnny Cruz, Jr. of San Ildefonso Pueblo, Darren Cruz of Española, Robert Cruz, Jr., of Santa Fe; nieces: Marcel Povijua and husband Raymond of Ohkay Owingeh, Catherine of Santa Fe and DeeAnn Cruz of Española; many other uncles, aunts, cousins & friends. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Nambe Pueblo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Nambe Pueblo with burial to follow at Nambe Pueblo Cemetery with all his close friends serving as pallbearer; honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
