Elipio Garcia, Sr.

Elipio G Garcia, Sr. 83, a resident of Espanola, formerly of Canoñes was called home Friday, December 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Elipio was preceded in death by his Loving Wife Antonia O. Garcia, Parents Isabel and Genoveva Garcia, In-Laws Emiliano and Angelica Aragon, daughter, Judith Garcia; Siblings, Christerna, Eligio, Mizel, and Alfredo Garcia; and his son-in-law, Joseph Lloyd Cata, and Godson Mike Chacon.

Elipio’s faith in God was strong, leaving a pathway for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to follow. His love was shown every day through his strength and his Godly influence. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Elipio is survived by his loving children, Brenda Salazar, Geneva Miera (Pastor JD), Angela Cata-Baca (Stephen), Antonette Villareal (Doyle), Edith Madrid (Harold), Elipio Garcia Jr. (Janel), Neomi Garcia (Fiancée Mark). Raised as his own, Briana Romero (Luis) and Derrick Salazar (Stephanie); special God-sons, Amos Garcia and Abade Salazar, grandchildren, Gavin and Cameron Cata, Ashley Miera (Pancho), Candace Rivera (Tony), Elipio Isaiah, Jeremiah and LillyAnne Garcia, and Lexus and Hannah Salazar; great-grandchildren, Santiago Martinez, Jude, Nazarene, and Silas Salazar, Adalyn and Aaron Miera and Eliana Rivera; step grandchildren Abraham Baca (Sheryl), Stephanie Martinez (Vince), Angelica Baca, and 9 great-step grandchildren, siblings, Belen (Alfredo), Erlinda, Teresa (Johnny), Filimon Garcia (Nora), Finnie Garcia (Theresa), and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Victory Faith Church, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Thursday December 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde. Services will be live streamed via Victory Faith Church Facebook page. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jeremiah Garcia, Cameron Cata, Jude Salazar, Santiago Martinez, Amos Garcia, and Antonio Valerio, Honorary pallbearers will be Elipio Isaiah Garcia Herrera, Derrick Salazar, Gavin Cata and Leo Garcia.
