Eleanor Romero

Eleanor L. Romero, 64, a resident of Espanola passed away on April 20, 2017.  She was preceded by her mother, Genevieve Romero.  Eleanor was a kind hearted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She made everything she lived for solely about her family.  She was a retired English teacher for the Espanola Public Schools.  She was very passionate about teaching and was always willing to help her students in any way she could.  Eleanor was a very strong, independent  woman that enjoyed traveling, music, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She is survived by her children, Rica and husband Clyde, Angela and husband David, Jesus and Javier; grandchildren, Brianna, Malachi, Zachariah, Lydia, Nathaniel and numerous relatives and friends who she loved and cared for dearly.  A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 28, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
