Eduardo (Lalo) Serrano, passed away peacefully on April 30 with his children by his side after a brief illness, he was 82. Lalo was preceded in death by his parents, Edwardo and Dulcinea, his son, Victor and infant son, Gregory, his brothers, Jake, and Ike, his sisters, Josie and Beatrice, his brother in laws, Jimmy, Leo, and Steve, and his daughter in law, Jeanette.

Lalo is survived by four children: Leonard, Zelma(Mark), Gino(Berna), and Anita(Patrick) Sisters: Mary, Carmen(Phillip), Peggy(Joe) and Delilah.

Grandchildren: Suzanne(Phil), Lalo, Marco(Melissa), Jennie(Joseph), Elena, Gavin(Paige), Ryan, Jairus(Daisy), Sean(Katie), Sam(Samantha), Melanie, Jovonne, Alissa, Patrick Jr, and Sofia.

Great Grandchildren: Gabriel, Alexander, Jayden, Jaymeson, Donovan, Isabella, Miguel, Roman, and Colton. Sister in law Viola. The mother of his six children, Suki. Also many cousins, nephews and nieces, and many friends.

Eduardo was born on June 16, 1938 to Edwardo and Dulcenea in Gallina, New Mexico. Lalo, as he was known for most of his life, loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and a skilled Deer hunter. Lalo retired after more than 25 years in the grocery industry, most of that time as a store manager. He was also honorably discharged from the Army after serving about 4 years. Lalo’s passion was his dogs and the time spent with family and friends. He was a very generous and giving person, always offering his help and always ready to share what he had. He will be missed by all.

There are no services scheduled for Lalo, as was his wish and due to COVID restrictions at this time. As Lalo always said, ADIOS! The Family of Eduardo (Lalo) Serrano has entrusted the care of their oved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477.
