Eddie Lovato

Eddie Lovato, 36, of Santa Fe, NM passed away on October 16, 2022. 

Eddie is preceded in death by his Grandparents Adolfo and Ermalinda Gasca, Uncles Adolfo Gasca Jr., David Gasca, Horace Gasca, Jessie Gasca, Eddie Gasca and Ernie Gasca.

Eddie is survived by his mother Dolores Trujillo, son Eric Lovato, sister Mary (Shawn) Guffey, sister Theresa Trujillo, brother Jose (Belinda) Trujillo, sister Roberta Trujillo, sister Deanna (Ezikial) Sundown, nephews Ernest Martinez, Jacob Wheeler, Jonathan Vigil, Elijah Trujillo, and nieces Jennifer and Shelby Wheeler, Faith Archuleta, Jaclynn Loera, and Savannah Trujillo.

Eddie had a beautiful heart.  He was a compassionate and generous man.  He was a man who never had much, but was always willing to give everything he had to those in need around him.  Eddie’s passions included listening to genres of music, playing football and basketball with his beloved son Eric.     Everybody that knew Eddie would describe him as a jokester with the ability to lighten any situation with laughter.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday. November 10, 2022, at 5 pm at the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at the DeVargas Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 6 pm.  On Friday, November 11, 2022, Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde, NM at 11 am.  A reception will follow after mass.
