She is survived by her children: Elizabeth (Gilbert) Rivera; Julia (Raymond) Roybal; Toni (Paul) Witherspoon; Jeff (Angela) Crespin; Edward (Liz) Crespin; Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.  Sisters Rose (Joe) Martinez; Corine Flores; Alice Garcia; Marilyn Britton; Brother George (Laura) Herrera; Sisters-in-Law Viola Herrera; Marie Herrera; Rita (Leon) Jaramillo; Brother-in-Law Tony Crespin.  Very special nieces:  Tina Roybal; Dolores Montoya; Andrea Romero; Tita Soto & Evelyn Crespin.  She had numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A very special Thank You to her daughter Julia who was her very best buddy and took exquisite care of our beloved Mom.  Julia always looked out for her mom, never leaving her side up to the very end.   Julia was always present with a watchful eye and unwavering commitment to our mother.

Edalia cherished and held most dear her children, grandchildren, parents and family.  She loved cooking for them and doing little things for everyone.   Edalia was an incredibly kind, generous, funny, witty, strong, selfless loving mother who lived for her children.   She went out of her way to make others feel special.  She took great joy in feeding everyone who visited her home, no one ever left hungry.  Edalia professed her love for our Lord Jesus Christ.  She had numerous hobbies such as planting flowers, growing a garden, making ristras, playing the slot machines, watching telenovelas, dancing, listening to music and chatting on the telephone.  She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, showing them how to dig for worms, and racing them to the mailboxes (she always won).

We would like to acknowledge the doctors & nursing staff at Christus St. Vincent for taking great care of Edalia.  The family appreciated the kindness & compassion they provided.  Additionally, we would like to Thank Reverend Frank Pretto for administering her Last Rites and also Pedro Herrera for reciting the Rosary and praying over her in her last days.
