Dulcinea H. "Candy" - Age 79 - Vela Lopez

Dulcinea H. Lopez “Candy” 79, a resident of Velarde passed away on Saturday Aug. 7, 2010 following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Mary Alice Lopez. Two sisters; Cordelia Abram and Esther Miera. Two brothers; Leo Rendon and Henry Rendon. Her parents; Gorgonio and Celsa Herrera. Candy loved and cherished her family. She enjoyed her orchard and loved bowling for many, many years. Candy will be dearly missed, especially her smile and her jokes. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe E. Lopez; one granddaughter, Bernadine Gonzales; and one grandson, Harold E. Sanchez all of Velarde; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. The family of Dulcinea H.
