Dora Soliz was born Sept.10, 1962 in Cordova, NM. She passed away on Feb. 20, 2022 following a brief illness. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Saiz & Ermelinda Trujillo; her brother, Oliveo Trujillo; & her sister, Beverly Montoya.

In her younger days, Dora and her family spent many weekends in Albuquerque with her longtime friends Amparo and Nina and their families. She enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines with her sisters, dances with her nieces and recently spending time with her grandsons. She was fond of dogs and had many of her own. Dora will be remembered for her big heart, her many friends, and for always helping others. She worked for 15+ years as a caregiver and took great pride in it. Dora was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Angela Serna, Marie, Mary & Matthew Vigil for caring for her in her last days.

Dora is survived by her daughter, Noel & her husband Isaac Sandoval; two grandsons Cruz & Ezra Sandoval; her longtime companion, Jesus Guerrero-Soto; six siblings, Polita & Armando Pacheco, Nancy & Bobby Martinez, Corine & Salomon Talamante, Mary & Benny Vigil, Annabelle & Paul Gonzales, & Patty Trujillo; six Godchildren, Janet Torresdey, Matthew Olguin, Juan Carlos Solis, Jonathan Hernandez, Louis Gonzales, Fidel Serrano Jr. & many special nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Vigil, Michael Vigil, Silvy Talamante, Louis Gonzales, Isaac Sandoval, & Fidel Serrano Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Cruz & Ezra Sandoval, Michael “Juju” Jr. & Daisy Vigil.

A visitation will take place on March 8th, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm following the visitation. Mass will take place at the San Juan de Bautista Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh on March 10th  at 10:30 am. At 11;30 there will be a comida at the San Juan de Bautista Catholic Church Parish Hall. Burial will follow after the meal at the Cordova Cemetery.
