DONNA LISA QUINTANA, 52, a resident of Velarde, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, was born on June 28, 1968 in Espanola to David Quintana and Savina Salazar along with her twin sister Diana Quintana (Dominguez). Donna was preceded in death by her father, David Quintana, sister, Isabella Jacquez, brother, Johnny Quintana; daughter, Maria Martinez; grandmother, Juanita Espinoza-Garcia; brother-in-law, Peter DeAguero; cousin who was like a brother to her Kenny Vaughn, son-in-law, Jacobo Martinez Jr., Padrino and Padrina Guillermo and Celerina Espinoza, close friends who considered family Eddie and Leonard Jacquez and Harold Barela. She grew up in Santa Cruz, NM along with her brothers and sisters, Johnny Quintana, Isabella Quintana (Jacquez), Pauline Quintana (Gallegos), Sophie Martinez (DeAguero), and Richard Martinez Jr. At the age of 1 was when the man that she would call her Dad, Richard Martinez Sr. came into her life and raised her along with her brothers and sisters. It was here where she went to the Espanola Valley High School and played basketball with her twin Diana. While in school she met a very good friend Desiree Pacheco who then introduced her to the man Marvin Pacheco Sr. who would be the father to her two children. Martina and Marvin Pacheco. Years later her youngest daughter, Maria Martinez came along. Donna was the type of person who would let everyone know she was there and who she was. She always had a big heart and would always be willing to help anyone. She will always be remembered by her amazing cooking and her crazy stories. Donna is survived by her mother and step-father, Savina and Richard Martinez, children Martina and Marvin Pacheco, brother, Richard “Rick” Martinez Jr. (Anita), sisters, Pauline (Johnny) Gallegos, Diana (Ricky) Dominguez, Sophie DeAguero, Favorite aunt/nina Maria Salazar; grandchildren, Jacob III, Jaclynne, Maria, Eric, Savannah, Fabian, Serenity, Izaiah, and Emilio and the love of her life Jay Jacquez; sister-in-law, Beverly Quintana; close cousin Becky Vigil and many nieces, nephews, and close friends who were considered family. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
