It’s with our deepest sadness that Dominic Rabitoy, 65, has gone home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness. Dominic was a family man that loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone that he loved and cherished. He worked most of his life as a machinist in Houston, Texas and then worked for Nambe Mills in Espanola, NM crafting silver pieces.

Dominic was preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Frank” Rabitoy and Elaine (Mikus) Rabitoy, brother Frank Rabitoy, and niece Renezmae “Mae Mae” Calzada.

Dominic is survived in death by his children, Monica Rabitoy and Melissa Abeyta. His ex-wife, Myra Rabitoy. Dominic has seven grandchildren, Issac, Amelia, Mary, Chole, Korbin, Aubry, and Layla, all of whom were his pride and joy in life. Dominic is also survived by his wife, Martha Cordova Herrera and his brothers and sisters, Doug, Barbara, Jackie, Matthew. Dominic is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and cared for.

The family would also like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the crew at O’Rielly’s Auto Parts Store for being like family to Dominic in his final years. The family is also grateful to Enchanted Sky Hospice that cared for Dominic in his final months.

The highest gratitude to the staff at DeVargas Funeral Home, for assisting the family and taking such great care of Dominic after his passing, it truly means the world to his daughters and they are forever grateful.
