David Bustos, a resident of El Duende, born September 29, 1952, passed away on November 12, 2021.  David was preceded in death by his mother Lucrecia Bustos.

He is survived by his Father, Horacio Bustos of El Duende. His two daughters; Tracy Ann Bustos-Valdez of Espanola and Genevieve Bustos (Alvaro Enriquez) of Santa Fe. Four grandchildren; Kyla Valdez, Ayden Valdez, Emma Enriquez and Alvaro Jr. Enriquez. His siblings; Leroy Bustos (Pearl), Susie Montoya (Benny), and Maryann Bustos.  Also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, Nieces/Nephews and cousins, whom he loved dearly.

David loved sports, he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and never missed his Sunday football.  Earlier in David’s life, he was a great baseball and basketball player, it went from high school way into adulthood with leagues he would join.  When he stopped playing sports he still wanted nothing more than to be involved in it somehow, so he became a referee for high school basketball and an umpire for baseball.  David had a successful career of over 30 years at Los Alamos National Laboratory.  David adored and always took care of his parents, he made sure they had everything they needed.  He loved his two daughters and grandchildren dearly, they were his heart and soul.

Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Espanola, NM at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 with burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez, NM.
