David A Trujillo 79, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 28, 2018. David served his country in the Army and was Honorably Discharged after several years in service. He worked and served his community of Taos in many aspects. He worked for the Taos Municipal Schools as a substitute teacher, the U.S Forest Service, County of Taos, the Questa Mine, and for Furr’s Supermarket. He also was a volunteer with the Taos Special Olympics. He was a well-known and friendly man and would do anything to help a fellow Taoseno. He is preceded in death by his parents; Meliton M Trujillo, and Elena Miera Trujillo; siblings Dolores T. Struck, Eloy F. Trujillo and Prescilla O. Trujillo. He is survived by his daughter, Marissa E. Sanchez, companion Rubina M. Quinto, brothers; Meliton M Trujillo Jr. (Louise), Stephen C. Trujillo (Dianna), Jacobo (Jake) R. Trujillo, brother in law Bernabe Struck, and sister in law, Irene F. Trujillo. He is also survived by mother of his child Dorothy A. Sanchez, Ruben L Quinto (Michelle), Rhonda Lee Quinto and his considered grandchildren, Marisol, Elijah Quinto, including many special nephews and nieces and other relatives. A rosary will be recited on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Angel Reyes, Deanna Reyes, Susie Romero, and Orlinda Struck honorary pallbearers named are Mante Chacon, Robert Graham, Carlos Martinez, Mariano Martinez, and Juan Romero.
