Pojoaque

It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Ray Roybal, who was called home on Friday, December 19, 2025. Daniel was born on October 3, 1984, to Henry I. Roybal and Amelia Roybal.

Daniel was—and will always be—a truly special person who radiated kindness, care, and love as a father, son, uncle, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He would go the extra mile for others without hesitation. His generosity was unwavering, and he would give the shirt off his back if it meant helping someone in need.

Daniel had a compelling personality and a light that never grew dim. His humor could brighten even the darkest room, and he could make people laugh for hours. He was daring, outgoing, and drew others to him naturally. He had a huge heart that only grew bigger with time. Daniel was resilient, a fast learner, and deeply respected by those who knew him.

He loved being outdoors working in the garden, caring for his mom’s rose bushes, and working on his cars. Fishing and hunting came naturally to him, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making unforgettable memories filled with laughter. Above all, Daniel cherished time with his son, DanielRay, whether they were going on walks, fishing, or spending time outside together. He also shared a special bond with his niece Alyssa, which never went unnoticed. Daniel loved making people laugh and was known for his playful jokes. We were truly blessed to have him, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Daniel attended Pojoaque High School and graduated in 2003. He later attended college at UNM and completed his HVAC training at Santa Fe Community College. He worked for an HVAC company in Nambé, where he was well respected.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father Henry Roybal; brother Randy Roybal; grandparents Pablo and Julia Roybal and Armando and Celia Archuleta; uncle Robert Rivera; aunt Annie Castaneda and aunt Clara Espinosa; uncle Robert Rios and Delfino Lujan; cousins Stephanie Castaneda, Isaiah Santiago Gonzales, Michael Espinosa, Gerald Espinosa, Edward Ball, Mathew Duran, Walter Roybal and Jeramy Lujan; and great-nephew Noah Anthony Martinez.

He is survived by his sons, DanielRay Roybal and Josiah Robert Roybal; his mother Amelia Roybal; his brothers Henry P. (Marlene) and Phillip; his nieces and nephews Amber, Alyssa (his best friend), Isaiah, Justin, Henry P. Roybal Jr., Dakota, Joshua, J’lee, Caleb, Emily, and Nathan Roybal, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
