Daniel (Dan) Leslie McReynolds 86 years old. Dan peacefully passed away at home on June 26, after a short but hard battle with cancer. He was born in Las Nutrias, NM to his parents, George and Isabel who he is preceded in death by, also preceded in death by his wife Mabel of 50 years and sister, Mary. After High school Dan joined the army where he served for 3 years assigned to the 82nd Airborne division, which he was so proud of. Dan was widely known in all of Northern New Mexico where he organized and owned McReynolds Construction Company for several years. He employed many locals including heavy equipment operators, pavers, concrete workers and laborers who respected him for giving them the opportunity to thrive in the construction business. Dan continued his construction career in Los Alamos where he supervised another large group who continually mention to his children “I am where I’m at today because of your dad”. We are very proud of the man our father was and above all, he is known for his generosity to everyone he came in contact with. He loved fishing and we spent summers at Heron Lake  where he caught a 34 inch trout that he still talked about his last day with us. Dan is survived by his children; Pearl McReynolds, Leslie McReynolds, Kathy Griego (Eduardo) and Shirley Martinez (Billy). His siblings; Thomas McReynolds (Maggie) and Sister Stephanie McReynolds O.S.F. In laws; Stella, Juan, Ciria and Richard.
