Cora A. Medina a resident of La Villita, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Thursday July 20, 2022, surrounded with her family by her side.  She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Medina, son Kenny Medina, daughter Donna Marie Medina, Parents Donaciano and Natividad Quintana, sisters; Mary Mondragon and Rose Cordova.

She loved her husband of 61 years. She was the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother there ever was. Cora loved life, anytime anyone would come to her house she was ready to feed them, she loved to camp and go to the casino. She was a devoted catholic and believed in our Lord very dearly.  During lent she loved to go and pray with the Hermano’s of the Morada de Chamita. Lent was an incredibly special time for her. She enjoyed celebrating the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday. Cora was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a great friend to many people.

Cora is survived by her sons; Isaac Medina, and Sandy Medina, and daughter Dani Beckman, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and nephew Johnny Mondragon who she loved as brother.

A public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory and a rosary will be held at 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. The Mass will be held on Friday July 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the La Villita cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Isaac J. Medina, Alex Medina, Dominic Medina, Donisha Medina, Juanito Mondragon and Trinni Bruce Cordova. Honorary pallbearers Johnny Mondragon, Don Medina, Zion Medina, Xavier Medina, and Juan Marcos Guerin.
