Consuelo Valdez

Consuelo “Connie” Valdez, 88 years old from Nambe, NM passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 7, 2021 with her children, grandchildren and Sage by her side.

Connie is preceded in death by her Husband, Vianes Valdez, parents, Eloy and Rosalina Salazar, in-laws Luis and Eulogia Valdez, grandsons J.J. Hagewood and Abran Valdez, son in laws Joseph Hagewood, Tony Martinez, Matthew Maestas; brother Frankie Salazar (Barbara).

Connie is survived by her thirteen children, Ray Hagewood (Sandy), Rosalina Hagewood, Darlina Valdez, Julian Valdez, Olivia Trujillo (Lucas), Oliver Valdez, Michael Valdez (Dolores), Carmelina Spears (David), Gerard Valdez, Jerome Valdez (Frances), Lavina Maestas, Fatima Woody (Earl), Vianes Valdez (Monica). Brothers Bernie Salazar (Doris), Robert Salazar (Susan); sisters, Ymelda Catanach, Angie White, Mena Morelos. Thirty-Seven Grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, numerous nephews, nieces, God children, cousins and friends. A special thank you too her caretaker Janet Olivas who gave her so much love and too Ambercare for all the medical care and comfort.

Pallbearers: Ray, Julian, Oliver, Michael, Gerard, Jerome and Vianes.  Honorary pallbearers: Helen Romero.

Public visitation will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 6:30 p.m at Victory Faith Church in Espanola, New Mexico with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m Pastor Earl Woody officiating. Burial will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m at Nambe Catholic Cemetery.
