Mrs. Consuelo “Connie” Dominguez, 91, entered this life on February 2nd, 1931, and was called to her eternal home on Saturday December 10th, 2022. Connie was born to Pablo & Luz Martinez and was raised in Pecos, NM. Connie had many careers, most notably, working at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, being a hairdresser, and housekeeping for special clients.
In 1991 Connie met the love of her life Guillermo Dominguez, and they married on July 9, 1991. A wife, a mother, and a grandmother too, Connie gave the gift of life to three children as well as mothering and nurturing her stepdaughter. She also cherished each of her many descendants.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Luz Martinez, her children Ben Salazar and Norma Trujillo, siblings – Ben, Alice, Roberta, Mary, Ramona, and Rosario.
Connie is survived by her husband, Guillermo Dominguez, children Joseph Salazar, Erika Lujan, her sons-in-law Arsenio Trujillo & Phillip Lujan, and daughter-in-law Robin Salazar. Grandchildren, Nanette, Arsenio Jr., Linda, Judy, Brandon, Damian, Eric, Daniel, and Nikki. Great-grandchildren, Mikey, Daneca, Shaian, Devan, Matthew, Chantelle, Avery, Arriana, Johnny, Diego, Cruz, and Teo, and great-great-grandchild Mila. Sisters, Pauline, Josie (Gerald), Arlene, and brother, Sammy.
Connie was a devoted catholic with a deep faith that never wavered, even in the most difficult of times. She enjoyed helping as an alter server for many years in her lifetime and always loved to host the local Priests and Deacons for a home cooked meal.
Connie enjoyed many things in life including novellas and gardening, but most of all spending quality time with all her descendants.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday December 21st, 2022, at the DeVargas Funeral Home in Española from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. The Rosary will be held on Thursday December 22nd, 2022, at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9:00 am followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 am with the burial to follow at the Pojoaque Cemetery.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Arsenio Trujillo Jr., Brandon Salazar, Damian Trujillo, Daniel Trujillo, Mikey Gallegos and Devan Mayfield.
The family of Connie would like to sincerely thank Sarita Trujillo and Nicole of Giving Home Health Care for their compassionate care throughout Connie’s health challenges.
