In 1991 Connie met the love of her life Guillermo Dominguez, and they married on July 9, 1991. A wife, a mother, and a grandmother too, Connie gave the gift of life to three children as well as mothering and nurturing her stepdaughter. She also cherished each of her many descendants.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Luz Martinez, her children Ben Salazar and Norma Trujillo, siblings – Ben, Alice, Roberta, Mary, Ramona, and Rosario.

Connie is survived by her husband, Guillermo Dominguez, children Joseph Salazar, Erika Lujan, her sons-in-law Arsenio Trujillo & Phillip Lujan, and daughter-in-law Robin Salazar. Connie was a devoted catholic with a deep faith that never wavered, even in the most difficult of times. She enjoyed helping as an alter server for many years in her lifetime and always loved to host the local Priests and Deacons for a home cooked meal.

Connie enjoyed many things in life including novellas and gardening, but most of all spending quality time with all her descendants.
